The Tour de France kicked off today with the Prologue in Belgium. The tour kicked off in a traditional manner with a Time Trial (TT) spread over a 6.4 kms. The big names are missing from this years tour... Alberto Contador is out as he's serving out his 2 year ban. Andy Schleck is out due to injuries.
This years tour has a lot of Time Trials the highest in the past 10 years so far. The mountains will not make as big a difference this tour as it has done in the previous years. This year the Tour will almost be decided completely on the Time Trails.
Bradley Wiggins has a good chance this year as hes got the skills on the mountains as is a good time trialist. Cadel Evans also has a chance as hes got a very team around him. They will guide, nurture and coax him over the top at the mountains and then it will be up to Evans to make the most of it by getting the coveted yellow jersey
