As 2023 draws to a close, it's time to reflect on the year's tapestry woven with personal journeys, family, and festive celebrations. #YearInReview, #Reflections2023
Here are some highlights that left their mark:
The Family Odyssey: The year kicked off with a monumental visit from my parents, defying their 70+ years to travel 24 hours from India to the US. Heathrow threw a curveball with a surprise second immigration, making for a drama-filled New Year's Eve. Their visit, a precious third trip, warmed my heart like no other, their presence was a gift beyond measure. #GratefulHeart
Reconnecting with India: After 6.5 years, I finally returned to India in July-August. It was a sensory whirlwind – mind-boggling, tiring, and breathtakingly beautiful all at once. I wouldn't trade it for anything, and wouldn't mind an encore sooner! #Homecoming
Festivals and Milestones: The festival season painted 2023 with vibrant hues. The festive season arrived with Ganesha's late entrance in September, followed by October's dazzling crescendo - Anusha's Arangetram. #Ganesha
Anusha's Graceful Swan Dance: From a bright-eyed 7-year-old in 2013 to a mesmerizing Bharatnatyam swan in 2023, my niece Anusha's arangetram in October was a sight to behold. She captivated everyone with her talent and poise, mesmerizing the audience with her debut Bharatnatyam performance, it was truly magical. #Bharatnatyam
Rekindling Connections: November's Diwali brought a flurry of luncheons and celebrations, allowing me to reconnect with a diverse group of friends, some unseen for over a year. Thanksgiving was a delicious blend of familiar faces - Bengalis, Telangites, Kannadigas, and Mumbai Tam Brahams. It was a true melting pot, filled with laughter and good cheer. #Diwali #ThanksgivingMeltingPot
Holiday Indulgence and Socializing: This Thanksgiving/Christmas season, I embraced the festive spirit with a shopping spree! New phone, new smartwatch, new Kindle – I treated myself right. My retail therapy spree is done for now, until next year's Thanksgiving rolls around. #MakingMemories, #SocialConnections
Merrymaking and Milestones: Christmas wasn't just about gifts – it was about two back-to-back parties with the same amazing crew! I savored every moment, realizing how much more social I've been this year compared to the past. And to cap it all off, another party awaits on the 31st! A fitting goodbye to 2023 and a joyous welcome to 2024. #CelebratingFriendships
Looking Ahead with Gratitude: As I bid farewell to 2023, I do so with a heart overflowing with gratitude. It was a year of milestones achieved, connections strengthened, and memories made. I am excited to see what 2024 holds and wish everyone reading this a very Happy and Prosperous New Year!
To all of you reading this, wishing you a 2024 filled with immense happiness and all your dreams coming true!

A year of making new connections and friendships that will last us a life time. Of filter coffee catch ups, sev puris, dabelis, and elaborate culinary delights. Marathon movie watching and last min ticket bookings. A random meeting over Ganesh darshan turning into a meaningful friendship π
