Innocent Until Proven Guilty.... This has long been the adage under which corrupt people and systematic abusers have been roaming around free in our society. Today the International Olympic Committee (IOC) saw through the same gimmick adopted by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and reject the new committee formed under the tainted Lalit Bhanot.
That an outside body has to tell our country that tainted people cannot be given positions of responsibility hurts. We have been brought to this sorry state by our own actions. We as Indians have always place more importance on region, religion and caste ahead of merit. We have always supported mediocrity in place of meritocracy and the result is in front of us.
Our economy is in shambles, our borders are being continuously violated, rapes becoming the norm rather than exceptions, a over worked judiciary, incompetent administration, blames games being place, new states being carved out on the basis of regional demands, terrorists being labeled as being prosecuted or harassed in the name of religion and so on.....
How long are we going to keep up with this sub standard way of life? We are in no means poor or underprivileged. It is our apathy that has brought us to this point. It is only our action which allow us out of this mess. Let's stop caring about individualisms, lets become Indians. I love my country, but if things continue the way they are I won't have a India anymore due to the incessant factionalism. I love India more than I love my state, my religion or my family.
Let's make India again!!!! It's time build a Nation AGAIN!!!!
