Moto X

The first phone from the combined Google-Motorola stable post Motorola acquisition by Google. A very, very decent phone I must say keeping the end user in mind not just driven by specs...

The war of specifications has manufacturers competing for cramming the most specs in a phone irrespective of weather it's gonna be used or not... so Moto X comes as a surprise in that scheme of things.

A 4.7 IPS AMOLED screen capable of 720p display with 323ppi is a good bet. That makes the phone more comfortable to hold and easy to fit in your pockets. A 16/32 GB option is also a good decent memory area. Lack of SD Card is a downer though.

Android 4.2.2 with 4.3 in offing with a 10MP/2MP rear/front camera capable of shooting 1080p video is good enough.

These make the phone a decent mid-size phone, what sets the Moto X apart is its voice recognition system. Capable of recognizing and then responding to only your voice, this feature is integrated into the hardware itself by allocating a special processor for voice related activity apart from the usual Qualcomm Processor.

The price of 199$ with contract looks tempting, if Motorola  is able to keep the unlocked price down to the 300$ range, then it has a winner on its hands....
