Topsy Turvy Life, Predictable Elections

New media today is going bonkers over the fact that Congress, BSP have lost in big way in UP. With SP emerging as a clear winner, Mulayam Singh looks set to be the CM for India's most populous state. The past couple of months it has been a media frenzy with news channels showing and reshowing every clip, action and movement of India's First Family The Gandhi, the people of UP have resoundingly said no dynastic politics, talk development politics.

It is laughable that Rahul Gandhi was asking people to vote them to power on the basis that Congress has not been in power for the last 22 years and hence the state is in doldrums. By the same logic should the UPA govt. be voted off the center as it has been in power for the last 10 years and the country has touched new heights in corruption and apathy.

But seriously, there is a lot of angst and anger in people w.r.t. how the things are being handled or man-handled by the govt. in power both state and center and with a strong anti-incumbency factor against the central govt. thanks Mr. Kalmadi & Mr. Raja, the next general elections in India looks more and more like a hung house and coalation politics being played for all it's worth... Times are changing in India but definately not for good...
