The game of cricket is a great leveler, the recently finished IPL 2019 season had it shares of ups and downs and at the end of the month long saga, the Mumbai Indians were triumphant to grab their 4th trophy while the Chennai Super Kings went down fighting in one the best last over finishes in modern day cricket.
The final had all the ingredients of a Indian film blockbuster, an ascendant team, the fightback led by the CSK stalwart Shane Watson and finally Lasith Malinga redeeming himself after having been sprayed to all corners of the ground in his first 3 overs to give away 42 runs and then giving away only 7 runs in the last over and grabbing the wicket off his last ball to get MI over by just 1 run.
The strategies and the plans for next year IPL will start soon, but until then salute to MI and a whistle for CSK.
